God Jul Bowl
The 2009 God Jul bowl is ready. We have them and a select number of other pieces available for online purchase.
Based on traditional wood-turned bowl forms of Norway. We think that this is one of our best editions! The green glazed pot with beautiful plum red design band is reminiscent of Norwegian embroidery.
This limited edition collector's item is available now through the holiday season. Reserve before November 20 to ensure Christmas delivery.
Fall at Tokheim Stoneware
After seeing Meryl Streep's reenactment of Julia Child, I considered trying Julia's famous Coq au Vin recipe. Instead I offer my version which could be called Coq avec le Vin.
Two essential ingredients are a plump range-fed organic chicken and a large Tokheim Stoneware casserole. Put a bit of olive oil in the bottom of the pot before adding the chicken. Leave the pot uncovered in a 325° oven. Cook for 3-4 hours depending on the size of the bird.
This will give you plenty of time to have a glass of wine while you prepare some delicious vegetables. The bonus is wonderful broth using the drippings from the chicken. The cleanup is easy so you can go back to reading The Art of Mastering French Cooking.
